Dog Walker in the Northern Quarter

The Northern Quarter is one of the busiest parts of Manchester. With its bars, cafés, and nightlife, it isn’t always the easiest place to walk a dog. That’s why many pet owners here look for a trusted dog walker who knows the area well.
Charlie & Friends has been walking city-centre dogs since 2017. We understand the challenges of the Northern Quarter’s crowded streets, and we know the quieter routes that give your dog the exercise they need without stress.

Local Walking Routes in the Northern Quarter
The Northern Quarter is full of energy, but it can be overwhelming for dogs. We use quieter, safer routes nearby to make walks enjoyable.
Rochdale Canal
This canal path is one of our most-used routes for Northern Quarter dogs. It provides calm space away from busy traffic and heavy footfall.
Ashton Canal
For longer walks, we head towards the Ashton Canal, giving dogs more space to explore without the stress of city-centre roads.
Clayton Vale
For greener, longer walks, Clayton Vale offers open trails and space away from the busiest streets.
We avoid high-traffic areas like Oldham Street and Stevenson Square during peak times, keeping walks safe and relaxed.

Settling In Period
Every new dog starts with a settling-in period. This helps us get to know your dog and helps them adjust to their new routine.
We usually ask clients to be home on the first day for a smooth introduction. If that isn’t possible, key arrangements can be made through a concierge, collection, or drop-off at our office.
All settling-in walks are charged at our standard £18 rate. If after a few walks it doesn’t feel like the right match, we can stop without any extra fees. Your dog’s comfort is always our priority.
Flexible Support for Northern Quarter Pet Owners
Our weekday walking service runs from 09:00 to 17:00. If you need shorter visits instead of walks, we also provide dog sitting and puppy visits. For safe transport, our pet taxi service operates across the Northern Quarter and beyond.
